Rainbow Shark

The Rainbow Shark (Epalzeorhynchos frenatum) is a stunning freshwater species, well known for its sleek black or dark grey body contrasted by vibrant red or orange fins. Native to the rivers and streams of Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, this fish adds a unique visual appeal to any tropical aquarium. They are active bottom dwellers and enjoy plenty of hiding spaces such as rocks, driftwood, and plants. Easy to care for, they thrive in well-oxygenated, clean water with stable parameters and a balanced diet of sinking pellets, algae wafers, and occasional live or frozen foods.
