Wallago Catfish

The Wallago Catfish also know as the Tapah is an impressive and aggressive freshwater species known for its long, slender body and powerful presence. Native to rivers and lakes across South and Southeast Asia, the Wallago is a true monster fish, often sought after by experienced aquarists.

Native to India, Bangladesh, and Southeast Asia.

The Wallago Catfish is a Carnivorous Catfish that thrives on a diet of live or frozen fish, prawns, and meaty foods.

Best suited for large predator tanks. Requires powerful filtration, stable water parameters, and plenty of swimming space. Not ideal for community tanks due to its aggressive nature.

First documented scientifically in the early 19th century as part of the Siluridae family.
