Baby Whale Fish

The Baby Whale Fish (Brienomyrus brachyistius) is a fascinating freshwater oddball known for its distinctive shape and electrosensory capabilities. Native to slow-moving rivers in West and Central Africa, this peaceful nocturnal fish thrives in well-oxygenated aquariums with plenty of hiding spots. It prefers a carnivorous diet of small live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. Reaching around 4–5 inches in length, it's best kept with similarly peaceful tankmates.
