African Butterfly Fish

The African Butterfly Fish (Pantodon buchholzi) is a unique, surface-dwelling species native to the calm, vegetated waters of West and Central Africa. With wing-like pectoral fins and upward-facing eyes, it's built for ambushing insects and small prey from the surface. This peaceful oddball grows up to 4 inches and should be housed in a well-covered aquarium, as it’s known to jump. Best suited with peaceful tankmates.
