The Peppered Cory (Corydoras paleatus) is a hardy, peaceful freshwater catfish ideal for beginner and experienced aquarists alike. Native to the rivers and streams of South America—primarily Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay—these bottom dwellers are well-loved for their unique speckled appearance and active group behavior.
They thrive in clean, well-oxygenated water and should be kept in groups of 4 or more. Their omnivorous diet includes sinking pellets, algae wafers, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms or daphnia.
