The Small Synodontis Catfish is a fascinating and hardy bottom-dweller native to Africa's freshwater rivers and lakes. Known for their unique upside-down swimming behavior, they make excellent additions to African Cichlid tanks or Other Cichlid Tanks. These catfish are nocturnal, spending most of their time hiding during the day and scavenging at night. Origin: Africa – primarily the Congo Basin and Nile River systems
Diet: Omnivorous – enjoys sinking pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter
First Discovered: Various Synodontis species were cataloged during the 19th and early 20th centuries
Care Level: Easy – requires stable water parameters and hiding places.
Size: Typically grows to around 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) depending on the species.
