Blue Crowntail Betta

The Blue Crowntail Betta is known for its dramatic, spiked fin rays that resemble a crown—hence the name. Unlike other bettas, Crowntails have extended rays that give their fins a jagged, webbed appearance, making them one of the most sought-after varieties in the hobby. Their deep blue hue paired with the unique tail structure makes them a centrepiece in any aquarium.

The Blue Crowntail Betta is a showstopper with its dramatic fin extensions and deep blue coloration. Ideal for both beginners and enthusiasts, this labyrinth fish is relatively hardy and best kept alone.

They prefer warm, clean water. Although they can tolerate cooler conditions, consistent heating—especially during South Africa’s colder months—will ensure a healthier and happier fish. 

Feed a varied diet of high-quality betta pellets, frozen or live bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. For optimal health and colour enhancement, occasional supplements like Garlic Guard and Azoo Discus Vitamins are highly recommended.
