Ultum Nature Systems Controsand is a thoughtfully designed line of decorative substrates made for planted aquariums and nature-inspired aquascaping.

A fine natural sand containing a mixture of warmer tones. Mojave provides a subtle effect that is ideal for creating natural scenes. We recommend it for use in planted aquariums containing Dragon Stone and all driftwoods.

Mojave Controsand features a fine blend of warm, reddish-brown granules, offering a rich, natural aesthetic ideal for desert-style layouts or as a warm accent against darker base substrates. Its vivid tone beautifully complements brightly colored aquatic plants and livestock, enhancing visual contrast and vibrancy.

Whether you're building your first aquascape or refining an experienced setup, Controsand is beginner-friendly and easy to use. Simply rinse gently to remove fine dust particles, then distribute evenly to achieve a natural, earthy aquascape foundation.
