Ultum Nature Systems Controsand is a thoughtfully designed line of decorative substrates made for planted aquariums and nature-inspired aquascaping

A rounded pebble gravel designed for freshwater aquarium use. Kona’s deeper tones can be used as a supporting feature or to create excellent contrast. Like other Controsands, Kona can be used alone or mixed with other substrates for a custom look in planted tanks, terrariums, paludariums and more.

As with all Controsand varieties, Kona is easy to use for aquascapers of any skill level. Rinse gently to remove fine debris, then distribute in your aquarium as a natural accent or base layer for a bold, organic effect.

Kona’s rich, dark pebbles offer excellent contrast and can be used to support vibrant aquascapes or mixed for a layered, custom substrate look.
